Colder temperatures will slow the working\/cure time, while warmer temperatures will reduce working time. Wear safety glasses, long sleeves and rubber gloves to minimize contamination risk. Wash thoroughly after handling. Do not eat, drink or smoke in the work area. Keep container closed when not in use.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eMIXING AND CURING:\u003cbr\u003eStir before use. Brush into a dry, unsealed gypsum mold. Stippling the first layer may help to eliminate bubbles if the mold contains complex undercuts or deep details. Brush up to 10 layers in the mold depending on the thickness desired. Allow at least an hour between layers for dry time. Humidity and ambient temperature will also affect the drying time of latex. Allow HX-807™ to dry in the mold for 12 hours at room temperature prior to pulling it out of the mold. Mild heat (100°F \/ 38.7°C) can be applied to accelerate the dry out process.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eBefore Demolding, lightly dust the inside of the casting with talc in order to prevent the dry rubber from sticking to itself. Avoid exposing the casting to oils, greases or solvents. It permits the mold maker to reach a desired thickness in far less time, with fewer coat applications.  It will also increase the strength of the rubber mold.  When used in conjunction with natural latex, excellent tear strength is produced.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThickening Latex with Ceco Powder\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eLater coats of latex need to be thicker to fill in undercuts.  The inside of the mold follows the detail of the model, but the outside of the latex should be smooth and rounded.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eTo thicken the latex for this application, CECO POWDER has been developed.  It mixes with the rubber and it does not have any negative side effects that harm the latex.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eMix the CECO POWDER into the latex.  Make it into a thin paste, or putty.  Mix it thoroughly.  When the mixture can be dragged up the side of the mixing bowl without sagging or dripping, it is the perfect thickness.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eThis paste is going to be used to fill in undercuts.  Also, the paste is used to thicken the lip along the base. (This thickness at the base helps prevent the mold from losing its shape.)\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eUsing a procedure of mixing and applying the paste, over a period of several sessions, build up the surface of the mold gradually.  Do not apply it too thick, or it will not dry easily.  Build up undercuts, and the base and the seam line, gradually.  Progressively round out the surface of the mold.  Use the paste to fill in undercuts that would become “\u003cem\u003ehooks\u003c\/em\u003e” if ignored.
