Wash with warm soapy water and rinse well with\u003cbr\u003eclean water.\u003cbr\u003eOnce clean, sanding to the substrate will give the best\u003cbr\u003eresults.\u003cbr\u003eMixing\u003cbr\u003ePutty W may be mixed by eye to any suitable consistency.\u003cbr\u003ePour a quantity of L Liquid into a disposable container. A\u003cbr\u003eself-cleaning (non-stick) silicone rubber cup is also useful\u003cbr\u003efor this purpose. Add the Putty W Powder while stirring. No\u003cbr\u003emeasuring is necessary. Just add enough Putty W Powder\u003cbr\u003eto achieve desired viscosity. Coloring can be achieved\u003cbr\u003eusing Aqua-Color™.\u003cbr\u003eOr if by weight, 100 parts L Liquid to 150 parts Putty W\u003cbr\u003ePowder is a good starting point.\u003cbr\u003eFor most applications, a “peanut butter” consistency is the\u003cbr\u003emost useful. Apply with a spatula or putty knife. However,\u003cbr\u003ethe mix proportion may be adjusted to give a thinner,\u003cbr\u003e“soupy” mix for wetting through fiberglass mat, or to a\u003cbr\u003ethicker clay-like consistency for plugging large holes or\u003cbr\u003eworking over an armature.\u003cbr\u003eMix until homogeneous; then an additional 30 seconds.\u003cbr\u003eThere will be about 10 to 15 minutes working time.\u003cbr\u003eBeta Stage — PLEASE READ\u003cbr\u003eA unique feature of Putty W is its long Beta stage.\u003cbr\u003eDuring Beta, the putty is a solid, but not a completely\u003cbr\u003ecured, fully hardened mass. This feature makes it\u003cbr\u003eparticularly easy to cut and shape. At this stage it can\u003cbr\u003ebe sanded with waterproof sandpaper, and for rough\u003cbr\u003eshaping Surforms\u003cbr\u003e® or Microplanes\u003cbr\u003e® are particularly\u003cbr\u003euseful.\u003cbr\u003eBeta Stage can last from 1 to 12 hours depending on\u003cbr\u003ethickness, temperature and humidity. Putty W can be\u003cbr\u003epainted immediately— once hard, with water-based paints,\u003cbr\u003eor after it no longer feels cool or is dry to the touch, with\u003cbr\u003esolvent-based paints.\u003cbr\u003eClean-up and Disposal\u003cbr\u003eClean tools and brushes in a container of water as needed.\u003cbr\u003eWipe dry with a towel. Water from container can be safely\u003cbr\u003epoured off down the drain after 24 hours. Solid material\u003cbr\u003ecan be disposed of using normal means.\u003cbr\u003eThis product does not present any chronic health hazards\u003cbr\u003ewhen used as directed.
