Applied at room temperature by swab-on or spray techniques, the BST4 reacts quickly and produces a non-dimensional black finish in 30-90 seconds. The finish can be sealed with a protective oil and is suitable for use on precision tooling and machine components. Or, the black finish can be highlighted to produce a pleasing distressed or antique pewter type finish on decorative metalwork, architectural trim or hand-forged items.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch1\u003eAPPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS\u003c\/h1\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn short, the surface must first be thoroughly cleaned of all oil and excess scale. For large surfaces, apply the BST4 solution with a wide applicator or with a pump sprayer to facilitate wetting a larger area in a few seconds.
