Use a light flooding technique and continue applying fresh chemical to “replenish” the supply of chemicals reacting with the Allow the blackening reaction to continue until a uniform grey\/black is achieved. If desired, burnish the surface with an abrasive pad to highlight areas or to make a brushed look. Use plenty of water to flush all residual chemical from the part.
